Cassius Green is an African-American telemarketer with low self-confidence who receives no recognition in his job. But then he suddenly rises to become the company's star salesman. The reason for this lies in his incredible talent for disguising his voice so that it sounds like that of a popular white actor. But this talent also causes a lot of confusion. And Green's girlfriend Detroit is also sceptical about her boyfriend's success.
